Soiree in the Strip is The Midwife Center's celebration and fundraiser on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 from 7-9pm, with a VIP reception at 6pm. The event will be a celebration of The Midwife Center and our community and feature the Strip District neighborhood that has been our home for over 20 years. Tickets are available now!
The VIP reception at 6pm will include a special wine tasting and a chance to hear from Gisele Barreto Fetterman, chair of the VIP Host Committee!
The main event will feature:
- Live music including a performance by SpeciàlK
- A live and silent auction, including 2024 season tickets to the Steelers with prime seats (50 yard line, 4 rows from the field!)
- Iconic Strip District businesses like Wholey's, Salem's Market & Grill, and Mon Aimee Chocolat represented by Featured Tables, plus hors d'oeuvres from DiAnoia's Eatery
- and more!
The event will be a celebration of The Midwife Center and our community and feature the Strip District neighborhood that has been our home for over 20 years.
We hope you will join us and help us meet our goal of raising $140,000 to support TMC's programs and services.

Getting There:
Soiree in the Strip will take place in Pittsburgh Winery's Cellar at 2809 Penn Ave in the Strip District (just down the street from TMC).
Parking: There is limited street parking available on Penn Ave and surrounding streets. There are also two nearby parking garages - The Hub at 114 27th Street and The Hive at 115 28th Street.
Accessibility: Limited parking is available in The Midwife Center's parking lot (approx. 200 ft from venue) for those who need accommodations due to disability and/or mobility limitations. Please contact Katie at k.phillips@midwifecenter.org so we can ensure a spot or to request any other accommodations. Guests can also be dropped off directly in front of the venue.
Public Transportation: Pittsburgh Winery is on multiple bus lines including the 54, 87, 88, and 91, and a 15-minute walk from the Herron Ave. stop along the M.L.K. Jr. East Busway. Plan your trip.
